HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL.
RACK & PINION
I have a 2002 MDX with 14,200 miles. I bought the car new. At 12,500 miles my RACK & PINION they had to replace. Now when I start the car and I put it in drive and I turn the wheel a little to the right or left when standing still I hear a knocking noise. What ever they did it's not right.Thank GOD I was not going fast with my children in the car.
Can you tell me what it might be before I bring them back the car to check it out. I hope I get alot of opions.

TRANSMISSION
NOW at 13,500 miles I brought my car in for the 15,000 mile service. I told them that I hear a noise from the engine and when I picked up the car they told me I need a new transmission and that it would be replaced with a recondition one.
Who says ACURA makes a GOOD CAR. This is the worst car I ever owned. You would think that the kind of money you spend on this car these things should not happen. I spoke to ACURA and they said that they were sorry and how can they make it up to me. Do you have any sugestions that I can tell them.

Did you not post this before? A couple of days ago? Are we 'Acura People' or just owners?
I am not sure what kind of opinions you are looking for...I thought we responded to your initial post and told you we sympathize with your situation and hope Acura and the dealership provide you a loaner car and get yours back on the road as soon as possible.
You are not the first with such problems, although a bad rack and pinion is quite rare it seems. Please let us know what happens, I for one am sincerely interested in how you are treated and how well the repair goes. I am sure most share my interest...Good Luck! |
