All:
Following the recomendations on this board, I bought a blitzsafe, installed it and hooked to my ipod. The problem is that the audio coming out of ipod is so weak that I have to crank up the volume on the mdx. The ipod volume was turned out about 3/4 of full volume (i want to save battery on the ipod on the long trip). Is this normal? |

| I usually turn the iPod volume up to around 90%. I don't notice any problems whatsoever with the battery draining too fast. Also, I usually use the power supply in the console to power the iPod, so I'm not draining my iPod battery while in the car. Try it! :4: |

There is many things you can do to boost the sound coming out of your iPod.
First, try adjust the sound inside iTune, and add the EQ you want to max the out put.
Second, use the RCA line in into the x's system will give you better sound then the tape, and tape is better then the radio...
I find it's fine to turn the iPod on to about 90% ~ 95% ( before there is qulity lost in sound) when you hook it up to other system.
Try it, if it doesn't work maybe you need some kind of amp.. :D |

Or upgrade to a 3rd generation one, they have "line out" which fixes this problem altogether.
