If it were a horse it would have been shot by now. I'm referring to my '03 MDX. I received that dreaded call from my wife saying the check engine like is on again. This will be the fourth different time the light has come on and I haven't even turned 10,000 miles yet. The unfortunate thing about this whole experience is the dealer told me last time he's relying on the factory tech's to advise him on how to fix the MDX and they are only guessing at this point as to what the problem maybe. My MDX has spent thirteen nights at the dealership trying to get this problem fixed.

In Honda's defense, my previous three Honda vehicles have all been great.

Can anyone tell me what's a reasonable amount of time I should give Acura to solve this problem.

Thank God for my blood pressure medicine.

It could be worse. Our TL has been at the dealer for over 3 months while they try to determine why the check engine light keeps coming on. So far no luck. They have talked to the super techs at headquarters, have replaced numerous parts and have sent parts into the super techs. Hopefully this is the last week. I plan to have a resolution one way or another.:3:

I notice that the Later models of the Hondas/Acuras have really sophisticated on-board computers that monitors, manage and control the vehicle.

When a mechanic cannot figure out why the check light comes on and cannot resolve it by checkking the error codes to tap to the on-board of the computer of the vehicle.you think these rocket scientist should at the electronics level and not at the mechanical level.

HOw bout swapping out the on-board computer????
