Are there any members out there from Newport News, VA who can recommend a reputable tire dealer in your area? My daughter just returned from northern VA to campus at CNU and has a flat tire on her 2001 Honda Civic EX. The Civic will need new tires in a few months, so I am considering replacing them all now rather than wasting money on a repair. The original Firestones are still on the car but I will likely go with Michelins.
I have used Merchants Tire and Auto with good luck, and noticed there is one a few miles west of the campus on route 50.
Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. |

Off-topic, have you considered buying online from Tire Rack or Discount Tires? Might save you money, or at the very least you can go to a local tire place with prices from the websites and try to price-match. I believe with Tire Rack they will ship to one of their recommended installers.

Yes, I did look at Tire Rack online. Merchants Tire & Auto is offering the Michelin Harmony for $1 less per tire than Tire Rack. So, in this case, a B&M is less than the online! |
