I did a search on this topic and didn't find any other threads, so....
I just bought a 2004 TL for my significant other...it is Redondo Red with a creamy interior and it is a wonderful car. I really like the smooth quiet power and the Bluetooth works great, as does the surround sound stereo.
But, while I was making this purchase, I got to talking to my dealer about eventually replacing my MDX. He said the latest he has heard is that a significant MDX redesign won't happen until the 2006 model. But, the 2005 RL will be out in July of this year, and it sounds like a wonderous car.
It is suppose to have AWD standard...I am wondering if it will be the AWD from the MDX.
And, it will have a 300hp V6, with an option for a hybrid gas/electric setup that has the same 300hp V6 and an electric motor that adds another 100 hp....so it will be a 400hp monster that gets 45 mpg.
He said he saw a picture of it and it is taking the edgy styling of the TL even further.
It really sounds exciting to me. Anybody have any information on the 2005 RL? |

My dealer told me the same things about the MDX (1996 redesign (bigger) with a second, smaller SUV coming out as well) and the RL (AWD, 300HP) but didn't mention the hybrid. He did say the RL would be available in May though.

| I think the RL will be FWD, but with an electric motor in back to power the rear wheels, therefore giving it part-time AWD capabilities. It is supposed to come out this fall. I haven't seen any pics of it yet though...can't wait!! |
