Help guys Im buying a new TV, plasma looks like the way to go but everybody is talking about LCoS tvs please help me out,

There both good TVs Im just wondering which you would go for...THANKS FOR ALL THE HELP:D

I believe the new Intel imaging system which is expected to be cheaper and better (yeah, I know, most of you don't want to wait)....is based on LCoS.

I heard Plasma's picture quality deteriorate (significantly) as it gets old. Maybe somebody can confirm this.:mad:

Ive read that too JPOGI, thats why i was scared to buy one, then LCOs popped up, I also heard that intel was going to be making them but I cant wait, Im going to go with PHILLIPS 55 inch LCOS, but if anyone can change my mind please do, I need all the help I can get, my wife is no help she just tells me to get the one I want, I really want both (but lets be serious) SO please HELP!

Not that much on the latest sets. There are definite altitude limitations too, but for most of us living under 8000 ft. from the earth's surface that should be of no concern.

Sorry I don't have the specs I read in front of me. But it seems noticeable degradation for the average viewer (6-8 hrs a day) should not happen for a good 7 seven years. I believe that was worse case.
The way technology is going, I find that laughable, because of what will probably be available in half that time.

Good luck shopping. I have both a Plasma in one room and a LCOS front projector in the basement home theater. Both are great in their application.
