I have a 04 MDX with Nav/RES on the way. I was wondering if anyone could inform me on the possibilities of adding a T.V. tuner and or XM radio. It sounds like I need to use the cassette adapter for the XM. I am definitely very ignorant when it comes to this stuff so any info anyone could provide would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

If you use a cassette adaptor for XM you'll only get cassette quality sound. This reminds me of a lot of aftermarket CD/DVD systems use a FM modulator to 'broadcast' the sound through an un-used FM frequency. In that case you only get radio quality sound which is below CD/DVD quality.

As far as TV tuner connection goes, one solution is to connect the tuner at the AUX input found inside a compartment at the 3rd row passenger side. The sound can be played through the main audio system but the picture will only be seen on the RES screen. Some laws actually prohibit the driver from watching TV unless the transmission is at park.
