| has anyone installed running boards themselves? dealer is asking 700 total to have it installed, but i can buy the part for 400 from a honda accessory store. |

Most of us buy our accessories from Tim at hondacuraworld The running boards are listed for $445.00 shipped. You should really consider installing them yourself and save money. It's a simple enough DIY project if you provide the basic tools and your time. BTW, if you want a sportier look for your MDX, please consider the side steps. Good luck.:29: |

| On Tim's website at www.hondacuraworld.com you can download the instruction sheet for all the accessories. You may want to look at them (boards, steps, etc) to get a feel for how difficult they may be. I have installed steps (twice) and it is simply tightening a lot of bolts (a real lot - 68) with a 1/2" ratchet and wrench (a 3" and 6" extension helps). |

| NO drilling. all holes are there from the factory, basically all hondas are like that. Just need to pop out the plastic covering the factory holes. |
