Hello guys,
Is there any GB on fender flares yet? Venders please chime in...Thanks. |
|
|
| Warzau |
| Why dont you ask Tim? |
|
|
| hondacuraworld |
| I'm not opposed to the idea.....fender flares have been a really slow mover of late, honestly I don't know how much interest is out there. |
|
|
| ///MDXII |
| Why do you think, Tim? The only neg. i could think is that if you need to replace one, then you would have to buy the entire set. |
|
|
| CrABbY iGOr |
| I'd be interested in a fender flare GB. Or a spoiler GB, Moonroof Visor GB, Sunshade GB |
|
|
| HarvM |
I'm definitely interested. Put me down for a set in Midnight Blue.
I am also interested in a wide body side molding GB.
Can we get this rolling soon? Everyday brings another opportunity for dents and dings. |
|
|
| CrABbY iGOr |
I'd be down for Moldings GB too.
Hey Tim,
How about a Hondacuraworld GB, where we get enough people buying a certain dollar value worth of accesories to get a discount instead of focusing on one item. It might be easier getting people to sign up for something like that.
eg) $100 worth of stuff 10%
$200 worth of stuff 15% or something like that??? |
|

| ///MDXII |
| Craby Igor...that's a great idea. In which case would make Tim more or less an exclusive supporting vendor. Afterall, the bottom line is quantity right Tim? |
|
|
| ///MDXII |
| If not, what do you have in mind Tim? |

Sorry about the late response, I took the day off yesterday to bring my 4 year old son to see Sesame Street Live. Priorities, you know LOL
Group buys, hm. The toughest thing about group buys is the organization needed to do them. Over on another board, we did this for the better part of a year, the process would go that someone posted or PMed me for approval, and I'd reply, we'd set a price, get people to sign up, and post start and end dates. Simple, right?
But what ended up happening is that people would make up their own group buys, people would sign up, and I'd come in after a weekend with people calling me as to why my group buy price wasn't up, when nobody asked me in the first place if I could do it  . That, and the fact that it just gets to be a bear to organize many quick hits rather than a monthly deal. Another thing that is noteworthy is that I would end up listing one week group buys several times, which told me that the sale wasn't long enough in the first place.
I'm all for the occasional GB, especially on something like flares, because they would probably not make it to a monthly deal anytime soon (they don't sell in great numbers). |

Two problems here:
1. We work on very tight margins to offer the prices we do. To put up one item on special is fine, to put the whole store up on sale gets really tough. I did that once about a year, year and a half ago.......
2. Phone traffic would increase exponentially. Many people have a tough time getting in now....most don't mind because everyone knows that I'll take as much time with the people that call as they would like to help them in any way I can. I'd get a second line, but there's only one of me :p |

But Tim, you have two hands and two ears!!! :2: |
|
|
| hondacuraworld |
| Yes but only one big mouth ;) |
|

How about a combination Fender Flare and Body Side Molding GB since they're both protection related? Say a discount for either but a bigger discount for ordering both. Y'know Tim, the ol' multiple sale technique!
Wouldn't people interested in protecting the fenders also want to protect the doors?:4:
I'm ready to order! |
|
|
| hondacuraworld |
| Yeah, but you know how that goes.....everyone will want one or the other ;) |

Thanks for your responses, Tim. I guess you're still hesitant about this inquery :( .
I was just on Hondacuraworld.com. Considering your flares pricing, would you consider that competitive? I know you have free shipping offer w/in the continental US. But let say, what is the shipping cost to 67209 for the a set fender flares? |
|
|
| hondacuraworld |
Not hesitant at all......how many people are interested?
I always try to be the lowest price available anywhere, so I do consider myself to be more than competitive......I'm just not sure what direction you're taking  |
|

| Thanks for your EARLY response. Tim, what is the shipping cost to 67209 for a set of fender flares? Don't get me wrong Tim. Just want to figure out the cost. In addition, do the flares come painted as grey(base) or blk? |
|
|
| hondacuraworld |
Take a look in the Gallery, there are plenty of nice pics to see.....it's easier to show you than tell you the exact color :)
By the way, I pick up the tab on shipping :) |
|
|
| ///MDXII |
Thanks...i can certainly do that.
Again, Tim, what is the shipping cost(how much do you pay instead of me) to 67209? Of course i do know you are offering to pick up the shipping tap and yes that's a very nice gesture. But if the cost of shipping is confidential then I would think your estimation will be fairly accurate.
Just trying to figure out the actual cost of shipment :) . |

| HarvM |
///MDXII,
Why are you harping about the shipping, when Tim isn't even charging for it? It's a non-issue. As long as the GB price is lower than what hondacuraworld usually charges, which is a fairly competitive price to begin with, it's a good deal. There's no tax, no shipping, and just a $3.95 handling charge; what's the big deal?
If you want a shipping cost, I'll give you a shipping cost: $15.31
There... that's good for shipping a 10 lb package from 14224 to 67209 according to the U.S.P.S. http://postcalc.usps.gov/
Can we move on now? I don't mean to be rude but everytime I get an email notifier of a response to a thread I want to see something of substance or at least remotely useful.
Peace out. |

| Thanks HarvM, it seems rather unjustified to ask Tim for a group buy and it "seemed" like he was agreeing, then MDXII is complaining about not getting info reg shipping, and that last post with the eyes rolling. Not very courteous. |

Hello HarvM,
I do apologized for the notification. Next time you get one(in my name), just ignore it.
If you say shipping & handling is approx. $20, then $500(based on Hondacuraworld.com's pricing) for the flares aren't exactly competitive IMHO.
Hello Warzau,
I do think my question is very legitimate and direct as a consumer. I do believe it's good to ask question to weigh all options. In addition, I have asked Tim more than once. And frankly, i was asking Tim ABOUT and NOT FOR as you've put it.
Thanks for both of your responses! |

Hi ///MDXII
Can you tell me where you found fender flares for less then $520 (including tax and shipping)? Thanks! (I assume you found a lower price since Tim's price is not competitive. |

I challenge you to find a better price than. 500 is a hell of alot less than the dealer "Fender Flares $669.00 (Installation costs not included) " Most likely its 90 per hr.
NOW Online Tim closest competitor is HandA acessories has them for 528.00, plus 15.28 for delivery to your location for a total of 543.28. Tim's price is still cheaper , a hell of alot less than dealer, who knows how much they would charge you for labor, from what I remember its at least a 2hr job. I just find it amazing that you ASK for a GB , Tim seemed to be willing and yet you insist to say his prices are not competitive in the end. If you feel that way the only thing I can say is then don't buy them. |
