I got my VIN last night! My sales rep told me to wait for 2 weeks for my Mahogany/Touring. When I ordered my MDX 3 months ago, I did not order any accessories, is it possible that the dealer might put on some accessories and charge me for those later?
I also read on this board that the MDX had a recall, can I expect that to be fixed when I get mine? I hope Acura had already fixed the weeping mirror/thud on the recently built MDX's.
Can't wait to get my MDX!

Lucky you! I have had mine on order since January 15th and all I have is a dealer "reference #" I use when I call to ask where my car is!

relsah: I assume that you wrote out a purchase order for the MDX. For them to have placed the order and then assign you a VIN there must have been a signed purchase agreement. What does it say? Are there any accessories on the order? What is the bottom line price on the order? I do not see how they can change it now.
Our purchase order was completely filled out, with TT&L. All fees were included in the bottom line. When the MDX arrived we simply wrote a check for the already calculated dollar amount.

If you have the VIN, then you can go and finalize the deal now. That'll ensure that they can't do anything with your MDX and they also can't sell it to a higher bidder from under you.

You're right, I have already signed a purchase order agreement and I got the MSRP. I didn't order any accessories coz I'm planning to get them from Tim.

| Well, after placing my order back in late January, I now have a VIN and should take delivery by the end of this week. Getting my MDX at full MSRP, but no forced options. With gas prices moving over $2 and possibly towards $3 per gallon, wish me wluck . . . . |
