| In May 3rd New York Times, there is a front page picture with a SS MDX in the backgrourd. The MDX was parked on 87th St and Madison. Is this car anyone registered with acuramdx.org? What are the chances of that! |

I parked on Madison at 87th last week. If this was not picture of yesterday's fire of whatever, it might very well be me. I'll go out at lunch and take a look at the cover of NYT.
I may be famous now!!! :) :) :)
One extra reason to get those AcuraMDX.org stickers!!! |

| May the 5th! I thought you guys were only three hours ahead of us - two days? Cool. (The original post read May 5.) |
|

May 5th??? Hey, SoCal, you are absolutely right. That's what MDX does to you - lets you time-travel!!! I even predicted a fire there a day before - which is tomorrow. :) (god forbid, of course) If I could only predict the market fluctuations in the same manner! :)
So, ajlee, when is it? Today is May 3rd! (although, in Japan, it's already the 4th!)
Anyway, until I prove otherwise, that is supposedly MY CAR in NY Times! I am still famous!! And I will not let some dude from South California rain on my MDX!!! :) I hate the weeping mirrors after a rain! |

|
| I re-edit the post. It's THURSDAY MAY 3rd!!!! Time to timewarp back to the 5th. So long! |

vip9,
If you are the one, you should demand some appearance fee from both the NY Times and Acura who is getting free advertising in a major metro market. Are you a member of equity or SAG? Letterman and the Tonight show are next!:D:D |
|
|
|
Hi, Remery. Can't you tell by all my posts? - I am not an actor (hence, no SAG membership), I am a writer. I may go on strike soon, so, if you do not see my posts for a while, don't get alarmed. :)
Letterman, here I come! (drive!) :) What's important, i think the Thud can be considered my "entrance" fanfare!
Anyway, let me go out and take a look at that cover. I'll let you know for sure. If that is indeed my car, an autographed copy will be available for a nominal fee to any interested party.
BTW, so far, I have not seen any MDXs in Manhattan. I think the car is too wide for Lincoln tunnel or the Brooklyn Bridge. :) |

vip9 - That had to be you. What are the chances of two silver MDX's being parked at that corner in one week. I'm going to run to Starbucks and buy a copy of the New York Times so I can have this amazing photo autographed. Okay, I really want a Mocha, but I might glance at the New York Times while I'm there. I'll be watching the Late Show for you tonight. Congratulations on the photo - and the time travel.

OK, upon inspecting the picture (in the newspaper it is MUCH larger), I cannot help but come to a painful conclusion that it is NOT my MDX on the cover of New York Times.
They have a caption under the picture that says it happened yesterday. I have no reason to doubt such a reputable source as NY Times. If it were a London tabloid or something... :)
Unless my dealer (who had a possession of my car yesterday yet again!) went all the way to Madison and 87 in an attempt to replicate THE THUD, I am not going to mislead you.
Besides, Letterman people just called. The stint on Late Night is off!!! :(
If any of you still want that autographed copy, it's 50% off now!
I did park there, though, last week! You know what that means - MDXs are multiplying! Soon, there will be as many of them as there are RXs or Exploders. :( |

I won't pay one penny above PSRP (Photographer's Suggested Retail Price.) Do you charge a Documentation Fee and Destination Charge? |
|
|
|
SoCal: cute!
I am not a crook like many Acura dealers. Even though I realize that I do have a hot commodity on my hands and know well the supply-demand rule, at 50% off it comes to be BELOW PSRP!!! (and that is WITH the autograph). And, not to be outdone by Tim, shipping is included. :) :) :) |

vip9,
Why don't you throw in an option for the Brooklyn Bridge to sweeten the deal!:D:D |
|
|
|
Sorry, remery, but as I said, I am no crook. I sold Brooklyn Bridge yesterday. If I sell it again that would be almost as bad as those dealers taking our deposits for the cars they KNOW they would never get into their lots.
I like your train of thought though. :) |

damn, guys! you got some eyesight! :)
i guess maybe the actual picture in the NY Times looked bigger, then the one on the website?
do you have the 50-in monitors set to 640x480? :)
hey, vip! shoulda've taken the momentum... c'mon think, you WERE parked at 87th this week, right? ;)
personally, i did not like how the brooklyn bridge looks with mdx, so i'd probably opt for either manhattan one - it looks sleeker and matches the GG color better! :p |
