I have a board with two fork mounts sitting in the bottom of the rear storage bin. I simply flip over the bin cover and attach the bikes. Be advised that my road bikes are small. I ride a 50cm seat tube. My friend rides a 54 and his bike just fits. His saddle actually touches the ceiling of the vehicle.

| ... but I will try to shoot the board and post it. It is really exactly that, a board which fits in the bin with two RockyMount fork mount attached. As far as the clearance, well there is none. The chainring touch the floor so I have two rubber pads which I place between the chainring and the floor. |

... as you can see it is quite simple. You can also attach other things to it as I have done with the flashlight.
