| Well while I'm waiting to get more equipment to finish and upgrade the audio side I need to get a top notch alarm system. Thinking of the Directed Electronics family line of Responder models but I'm not sure if the remote start will work on the X, if that's the case it would not be worth shelling out the extra $ if I won't be able to use that function. I hope some of the pros in this forum can give their oppinions on this subject I hope that if the transponder key system(sort of)can be bypassed would this have any possible drawbacks in doing this mod. I hope that any folks that have done this can post their experience and review on this mod. |

Xtreme MDX,
Yes, a remote start function is possible. I have that feature integrated in my security system (Prestige). Try searching "remote start" |

| This is possible. I believe you have to give up one key or buy a $40 box that will bypass the transponder key. I don't know if Prestige got updated for cars with transponder keys, this is what I had to do for my other Hondas....2000 and up to install Compustar alarms. |

Prestige was updated for transponder keys. Mine was installed approx 2 years ago, and works fine. Did not "lose" a key. |
