Congrats; our two oldest boys are 15 months apart. In many ways having two the "same" age has its advantages
Since passing out cigars is "symbolically" appropriate (although not PC) :1: :1: |

and Welcome to the real MDX 'Dub-club' . . .
as acting social chair I welcome you to the sleepless nights, 4 hour feeding intervals, countless dirty diapers, hyper-sensitive sound paranoia and the end of your social & recreation lifestyle as you know it today - at the end of the day you will realize that you would not have it any other way . . .
BTW - C section or natural ? This will have an impact on how quickly your wife will recover - that is if a mom can truly recover from having twin boys !!! |
|

| Thanks to all. Zack was breach so they had to do a C-section. My wife is still in a lot of pain but hopefully everyone will be able to go home on Friday. Also both boys are a little jaundice but at this point they are not really concerned. (Supposedly over 50% of all newborns get some jaundice.) We'll probably know tomorrow if the jaundice is a problem or not. One thing for sure - I won't have time to post any pics for at least a few days! |

Congrats. My wife is expecting our second at the end of April. I already have a boy and this one will be a girl. She had a C section with the first because of complications; not sure how this one will be delivered...
It's worth all the sleepless nights, dirty diapers, etc...

| I was behind a very dirty white early 90's Ford F-250 this morning; someone wrote w/ their finger this message on the tailgate: say hello to my twins :D  ;) |

I hope the boys will be fine. Both of our sons were jaundiced at birth. Nothing was done to the older son, his cleared up on its own. Our youngest had to have a "Visiting Nurse" to come to our house every day to take a blood sample from his heel. Every time he slept, we had to put a lighted belt around his abdomen to help his liver do its job. He looked like a Glo-Worm at night! Good luck, hope the jaundice is gone by the time they leave the hospital, and help your wife as much as possible right now, she needs you.:) |

Congrats on the Twins,
Just took ours to Red Lobster tonight. Thank god for the Lobster Tank, they stood and stared inside of it while we waited. Lil Nicky almost thru the little thingy that beeps for your table in the water. 2.5 years old now. They are great. We had a Boy and a Girl. Wait till they start pulling the toys from one another and you got to referee. |

Congrats on the twins! Jaundice is typically no big deal and either corrects itself or is easily corrected (as catzx6 noted). Our daughter was a bit yellow @ 3 days or so (enough for us to take her to the Dr) but it cleared up quickly.
You'll have plenty of other things to worry about :D |

The family came home last night.
The boys are fine. The wife is still very uncomfortable. Right now we have 4 adults (me, my wife, my sister-in-law and my mother-in-law) taking care of 2 little babies - and boy am I exhausted!!! |
