Navigation Update For 2004 MDX?

I am proud new owner of a 2004 MDX w/NAV and RES. I have been reading a lot of discussion on navigation updates. My question is if the upcoming update is more current than the version that came in my car. Checking the system info, it says version 1.1 and database 20030902 which I assume is the date is was created.
