I just swapped out my BOZO sub for a POLK-GNX in my new 2004 Sandstone MDX. The GNX sounds much better, but at the cost of some volume. I have a Kenwood 200 watt amp that I plan to install as soon as I can decipher a way to run a hot wire from the battery.
I have seen a few examples of how to do it on older models, but the 2004 appears to have undergone some changes to the firewall. The rubber grommet that I expected to find lateral to the steering column is nonexistent. WTF
Has anyone installed an amp on the 2004 touring?
I also had no luck locating the BOZO amp under the gear shifter.
Do I need a new script for my specs????
Help me please.

On your Polk sub, what ohm level are you using? It is my understanding that sub can be 2 or 4 ohm?
Did you install a filter on it? If so, what kind and how?
Thanks. |
