| What do you recommend to use on the dashboard to keep it looking new and nice? Same with the glove box. I will probably use Meguires Leather Conditioner on Seats. |

On anything plastic, other than shiny (plood) or see-thru, I use Meguiar's #40 vinyl and rubber protector/cleaner. It comes in a tan spray bottle, and can usually be found in stores that sell car paints. If you apply it and wipe it off with a soft towel after a few minutes, it leaves a smooth, relatively "flat" surface. If you don't wipe it off, it leaves a shinier surface. I also use it on the exterior black plastic (grille, bumpers, and running boards). It is MUCH better than Armor-All.
Don't do what my daughter did -- leave it in the trunk of a car for several days during hot weather. It will expand, popping the bottle open (almost exploding it), and stink up the trunk forever! |

| Prior to the X, the cars I have owned had padded vinyl dashes. The X's dash is hard plastic and, at least in the Saddle interior, it appears to be a painted finish. I scratched my dash and the color is not molded into the dash. I am guessing warm water and a mild soap if it is really dirty. Anything else will do nothing for it or maybe even harm it. |

I use Black Magic Dashboard wipes.... leaves a nice shine for a few days.
I have ebony interior... and every damn piece of dust shows up. My old car had tan interior and I never noticed the dust. I just bought a California Dash Duster so I can dust the dash area probably once a week. I'm anal about getting rid of dust. |

| Can you treat the duster with an anti-static spray or similar? You might have static on the dash and be attracting dust. I have the same problem with the ebony interiors in both of my cars. |

| I believe clear silicone spray rubbed in lightly with a soft cloth is sufficient to 'lube' the vinyl and make it more resistant to dust/dirt and not add a glare producing finish. At least that's what a classic car restorer recommended to me. |

The California Dash Duster has "special baked on wax treated cotton strands to lift dust without scratching."
Here is a link.

I just got it yesterday so I'm not sure about it creating more static on the dash. |

Correct, I've had one for years and it does a great job, I never leave home without it.:4: |

| 303 Aerospace Protectant is by far the best stuff I have ever used. It protects like nothing else can and it gives the dash and everywhere else you use it a deep rich color. At the same time it's not greasy and it doesn't make things overly shiny. I highly recommend this stuff. |

Excellent stuff! I only used a sample of it on the Colgan bra, but the Vinylex I normally use seems to go further per application. I don't know which lasts longer. But 303 has a long standing rep. |

Kind of expensive but the best and longest lasting I have ever used.

| I personally like Plexus. I guess it depends on what kind of finish you want though. Some will be shiny ant wet looking while others will look flat and dry. |
