| Finally after months of waiting and contemplating I put down the "customary" $500 deposit at Ron Tonkin's Valencia Acura here in Southern California for a 2002 model. They told me I'm FIRST on the list for a 2002 Black on Saddle with Touring and Navi. Although he quoted me MSRP as the current price for now, he said that if supply got better at the time of delivery (which he said he expects to happen - I was truly amazed at his honesty) he will "deal" at the time and give me whatever's the BEST deal out there. I also confirmed that my deposit was FULLY REFUNDABLE. Delivery of the 2002 is expected somewhere between September/October of this year. Even though I was soooo tempted to buy one off his lot (One Black/Saddle and one GG at MSRP was available)I decided to wait for the 2002 for the reliability issues (Thud, stalling etc.) to be fixed which, given Acura's track record I expect will be fixed by the 2002 model year. JUST CAN'T WAIT TILL THAT GLORIOUS DAY WHEN I GET MY KEYS AND DRIVE OFF!!! :D :D |

| Congrats, it's good to hear you finally took the plunge. Now you will be able to report back to us as to the subtle differences, if any, in the MDX Navi versus what is in your TL. Hopefully, the MDX will become your commuting car as it has for me. However, this perk comes with a high price. It takes a new set of wheels for your better half to accomplish this since the well known fact of married life is the wife must have the newest car in the garage.!!:D:D |
