I have question for MDX owners.

Dealer offered me a 48 months/48k miles maintenance pkg for $695.

Based on coverage, I dont think it cover all the stuff on 15K
or 30 K maintenance.

It does come with:
- Oil&Filter Change: 12 times. each cost $24.95
- Chasis&Lub: 12 times. each cost $19.95
- 15 pts inspection: 12 times. each cost $19.95
- Tire rotation: 6 times. each cost $49.95
- Coolant system flush: 3 times. each cost $109.95
- Transmission svc: 1 time. cost $139.95

I can have all that for $695.
Initially, that sounds like a big rip off as lub and inspection
should be part of oil change. But.. when I estimated how much it would cost to get it done outside, price came close.

Anybody familiar with such maintenance package ?
I thought I would get you guys feedbacks first before
making a decision.

Thank you.

Hi jlrebate,
They are putting you on a 4k mile oil change schedule (owners manual says 7500 unless you are driving in extreme conditions).

$50 to rotate the tires?!?!?!

There is no VTM fluid change or air filter or A/C filter, etc. These will still cost you!

It seems like they have padded extensively to make it look like you are getting a good deal. IMHO, I wouldn't buy it. Who knows what will happen in 4 years (car wreck, you change locations, etc). My advice would be to pass on this one.

I agree. If it included the air and pollen filters, as well as at least ONE VTM fluid change, it might be a 'square deal'.
I think it best you resign yourself to do some work yourself, or shop around for a good independent to the servicing.
Nothing wrong having the dealer do some of the work but avoid his 'specials' which include a lot of fluff you don't need.

There's no "chassis and lube" requirement in the owner's manual, either. Also, coolant flush is now 120k/5yr--so no reason to do it 3X in 48k/48mos!

Isn't that ridiculous to charge $50 bucks just for tire rotation ???
I can get balance and rotation done at Costco for only $4 per
tire.

I will decline the package.

Thank you very much !!! I apprciate all your feedbacks.
