You guys are all serious with The Sopranos, movies, etc. How about sitcoms? There have, of course, been some spectacular ones over the years. So what is your favorite, then and now?
Historically, I like All in the Family, at least the first few years. Got pretty maudlin toward the end. Now, I would go for Still Standing on CBS - the parents of teenagers actually win! |

| Hard to pick just one, from the past, All in The Family, Barney Miller, Welcome Back Kotter, & Tool Time. For the present, Still Standing, King of Queens, Everyody Loves Ramond, and the new one with Charlie Sheen is pretty funny, Two 1/2 Men I think is the title. |

| Currently Whoopi, of all-time - Seinfled. |

| M.A.S.H., Cheers, Cosby Show - hard to pick an alltime favorite. |

Currently it's Fraiser (which is unfortunately in its last season). I also like Everybody Loves Raymond and Scrubs.
All time it's Cheers and Seinfeld. |

Hmmm.....I love that show too, but think it as more of a drama than sitcom? |

PS - Old ones would include Seinfeld, Honeymooners, and Baretta. Welcome back kotter and All-in-the-family are classic's for sure. Starsky and Hutch, Charlies Angels, and Knightrider are also good ones. |

I still don't know why they took it off the air. But it really went downhill when they started bringing in "pretty" faces.
They should have kept them all like Ned Beatty. |

Nobody asked me if I loved Raymond. I had never seen the show until my flight to Maui and then I must have seen ten episodes in a row.:16: I don't watch regular primetime network programming anymore due to lack of time and interest. Nowadays if I watch any of it for more than 10 minutes I feel my IQ slippin' and it's not that high in the first place.
:p
P.S.-I do love shows from my childhood most of which have already received mention like: THE MUPPET SHOW, MASH(Klinger is a Toledoean), All in the Family(early) and from my teenage years and still going strong(from the promos I see) THE SIMPSONS. |

Not my favourite, but some good lines I remember:
"Come in Simpson, make yourself at home." Bart: "Gee dad, you can lay around in your underwear and scratch yourself."
Homer: "The Internet, is that thing still around?"
Liked Mash, Cheers, Happy Days, don't watch any of the stuff now as I'm tied up with other stuff, like acuramdx.org, Fox Sports World soccer matches, OLN cycling, History Channel, Discovery, etc. |

Frasier, King of Queens, Becker are the favorites, I guess.
Home Improvement's funny.
Just Shoot Me's clever, as is Yes, Dear.
Classics: Get Smart, Bob Newhart Show, Dick van Dyke.
Can't forget Coach.
I'm almost embarrassed to admit that I like Roseanne (the show, not the gal).
I am the only person in America who isn't that into Seinfeld. Please don't hate me... :p
I forgot Drew Carey, despite the occasional questionable taste... :2:
I do a lot of work from home... :) ;) :) |
