| I think most waxes will do a great job - mothers, meguiers, etc. How long does a wax job last for? Looks real nice!!! I love my zaino though and two coats last a looooong time. |

| It's so difficult to see one is better than the other. And yes, the durability of Zaino is a big factor. |

See I guess since I never used Zaino I dont have a baseline to fill in the Z folks. I would say that the NXT is a excellent all in one product. But I am sure if you used other products with it the results would be better. My biggest issue is that its not a filler so swirls and scratches dont clear out as good as other products I have seen. I know for black colors I used to use a product called "liquid ebony" it was almost water like consistent but it filled swirls and scratches unbelievably.
My take on NXT is pretty simple. If you have a decent surface to work with its killer (as you can see from my pics of the X). If you have issues (like my truck that I did first) you need to supplement with other products.
Bottom line is you can get a damn good shine in about an hour with NXT how it compares Zaino after 2 to three days worth of work I am not sure. But I would say for an hour or two worth of work with the NXT I am not disappointed with the results. I would add that I like the product much more after using it a second time.
As far as durability I will keep you posted. |

I think it looks damn good. The better it is with the least amount of work is my objective. |

No problem. The stuff is a breeze to use and doesnt make a huge mess. I also noticed that when I accidentally get the stuff on plastic or rubber it doesnt turn it a white or chalky color (as long as you remove it) like other wax products I have used in the past. You should be able to get 2 coats on and off in about an hour. As I said previously the X was my second application I did my first on my Frontier. Both were done late in the day in the shade so I am not sure what affect applying it in the mid afternoon sun would have if any.
I think it did a much better job on the X than it did on my Frontier. Im not sure if there is a major quality difference in the clear coats or paints. The color of my Frontier is similar to the Red Rock X color. I opted to not use any scratch remover or filler on the X as I did with the Frontier this may have also contributed to the differences. I applied the NXT the same as I did before with the orbital buffer and terry bonnet. I also removed the stuff with the micro fiber towels.
Let me know what you think... |

Did you notice if it darkened the color on the Frontier? |

It doesnt appear to "darken" the color at all to me. My impression is that it puts a very high gloss shine on the car. So hence the Black X appears a bit darker because of the shine but the Red Frontier actually appeared to be a bit lighter. I will try to snap a couple pics of the two side by side to show you what I mean. But as I said before the NXT doesnt have a ton of fillers. If I were to do it over again I would clay bar the Frontier prior to applying the NXT rather than using the Meguiars Scratch X like I did.
The swirl marks on my Frontier are much more prominent because I have on occasion taken it through a cloth car wash. The X on the other hand has never been touched. So the NXT worked much better in my opinion on the X because I didnt require a ton of filler to hide any minor scratches or swirls.
I applied 2 coats of NXT to both vehicles. The X probably didnt need the 2nd coat the Frontier did. I will try applying 2 more coats to the Frontier this weekend to see if it makes any difference. For what its worth I called the Meguiars help line and they said you really dont need more than 2-3 coats of the NXT and anything more would be over kill. They also told me they recommend applying at least 1 coat of the NXT every three months. |

Im not sure how much shinier you can get brushed aluminum wheels. I think the lighting in the pics may be a bit deceiving. The wheels have no dust or dirt on the exterior parts. The only parts that dont get cleaned are the inside. I guess I could dismount each tire and get the backs too but I am just not that much of a fanatic.
I tell you what... I will take a picture of the rims in FULL daylight this weekend and post them and then give me your opinion.

I was doing that for a while when the 'X' was new. I used a long skinny brush so I could get around the backside of the wheel from the bottom front, then roll the car so I could get the other half of the wheel. I thought if I did it with every wash, it would be easy. It wasn't. I don't.
I do clean the wheels throughly with every rotation so the insides don't look too bad. |

I didn't say your RIMS were dirty, WHEEL WELLS ! HELLO ! Look again, they are grey with dirt, not black and shinny like new ! Look again at YOUR pictures ! Can someone tell him what wheel wells are ?

I guess we both jumped on the 'rims' !! Wheel wells are a pain too...I do clean them myself, well, most the time. |

Thanks Dale.......I just can't stand when everything is clean, except the wheel wells ! It's just an unfinished job in my book !

| How would one go about cleaning the wheel wells? Is there a way to make them shiney like tire dressing stuff without damaging anything? I know new cars have shined up wheel wells but I've never known how to keep that up. |

| My bad... I assumed wells ment the "backs" of the rim. I thought you were calling out the "rims" I did hit the "tires" with a nylon bristle scrub brush after the pics and re treated with armor all.... I am with you about the whole shiney ride and crusty "tires" angle. The crap that builds up usually requires nylon brush and on occasion some comet cleaser.... |

| I clean them with hot soap and water weekly. They look like new... |
