Both vehicles had very high scores in the offset frontal crash test, probably the most relevant of all the crash tests in the U.S.
The TSX scored "Good" and "Best Pick." However, it did not earn a "clean sweep" in all crash test categories, getting an "Acceptable" for the right foot. Thus while it does very well, it isn't at the top in its class. That's somewhat disappointing because it is a newer model (even the Euro/JDM Accord it's based on is relatively newer).
The TL scored "Good" and "Best Pick" and had a "clean sweep" of all categories. It also places at the very top of all vehicles in its designated IIHS class, impressive even if it is a relatively newer design:
