My 2 week old baby seems to have an issue. Every now and then, the NAV will freeze up when I try to change climate control or climate mode. The map still works but the data screens are non responsive. Starting the car again resolves the problem. Is this common? Can the system be rebooted without turning car off then on?
Thanks,

| 8 month old MDX and the same problem just started. Twice in two days. No resolution yet. |

| I've had 2 incidents in the past 10 months. In both cases I used the NAV and HFL simultaneously. The screen would get stuck and nothing would work until I turn the X off and on again. A major hassle when I'm on the freeway. |

Mine froze one time, after driving for about 2 hours on the way home from a trip. It froze just after a voice guidance prompt for an upcoming turn. Had to turn off the MDX for a minute or so, and then it was fixed.
I mentioned this at the dealership, and they pretty much said "this is a computer driven system, and computers hang sometimes, just like a PC would".
Mine has only ever done this once. |

| This is by no means a fix. More of a work-around so you don't have to stop and shutdown your X. If you open the door to the DVD ROM and close it the system will reboot and you won't need to stop and shutdown the engine. Get it in to the dealer ASAP and get (hopefully) the real fix. Good luck! |
