I use to just save all my digital photos in a CD or just in the hard drive, what I found is that if I use CD, I kinda waste it because it's not full and I didn't even used up 20% of the space, if I save it in the hard drive, it'll get lesser and lesser memory which is another problem. Here are the only online photo album I can think of, Yahoo! gallery, webshot and image station. I tried all of them and non of them are perfect for me. Yahoo has too less memory space and they resize my pics very small. Webshot only gives me 240 pics to upload and it takes too long for my taste to upload the pics since you're doing it one at a time (I like Yahoo uploading system better). Image station is the worse, although you get unlimited uploads but they resize your pics and only members can view your pics (what's the point  ). This is what I want in a online photo gallery, fast uploads, unlimited uploads (at least give me more space), will not resize your pics, can be view to the people I give the link to (unlike image station), free (ofcourse :D) and will not delete my pics :). Are there such online photo album??

Take a look at DotPhoto www.dotphoto.com

They have unlimited free storage, they do not downsize your images, downloading the image back to your computer in its original form is free.

All you need to do is order some prints from them every once in awhile.

It only says my photo's exact size but it isn't the exact size when it's view

Why don't you use CD-RW's ? Then you can save what you have now & when you have another group of pic's load them on to another CD-RW and also add the pic's from the first CD. Keep doing that and when you have 650-700 MB burn it to a Regular CD.

I want to share my pics with friends and families and I don't want to have a million CD lieing around the house.

For viewing the album, the pictures are reduced resolution. However, to download the original version to your computer, just select your desired pictures from the thumbnail screen and then click on download in the right hand tool area. You will then get the full resolution version.

I have searched wide and far, I do not think you will find a better deal with unlimited storage and free unlimited full resolution downloads. All other options I looked at either had much to small a storage limit or charged for full resolution downloads.

Additionally, if you pre-order, you can get 4x6 prints for $0.19 - much cheaper than printing them at home and $0.10 cheaper than most other places.

Let me know if you find better, I am always looking for a better deal.

I keep all my pics on my hard drive, and then periodically download all to a CD-R (dirt cheap). Then I erase them all from the hard drive and start over. I write on the CD-R the date range of the pics, and if my wife wants a copy, I can go right to it. Works for me.

What do I do if I want the album to be public?? Which means the only people that can see my photos are the ones that I sent them link. I have a hard time figuring it out. I'm talking about dotphoto.

I use Sony's Imagestation -- www.imagestation.com

Unlimited storage. The picture size is smaller than I'd like in the default display. However, they store the pictures at full size and if you click on the picture, you can download the larger photo (e.g. for printing).

They don't have all the bells and whistles of some of the other sites but they're good enough. A good reason to go with them if you don't keep your photos on your hard drive or on CD's is that one would hope that Sony will keep that site around. Some lesser-funded photo sites have been known to go belly-up and took their customer's photos with them.

PhotoPoint was a good example. Really good photo-sharing site, probably the best one (unlimited storage before they went pay-for-service, large default image size). But they went out of business and a lot of people didn't have their own copies of the photos.

Nevertheless, I would still keep copies of your photos around on CD-R or CD-RW. I have three years worth of photos on two DVD-RW's (between the two of them, they hold over 9.4 GB).

A number of these sites will keep your photos in high-resolution form and burn them a CD if you pay them to.

Depending on what your plans are, there are several things you can do:

1) You can set your entire album public, and then anyone can find your images

2) You can set albums private (default)

3) If they are private - you also have the option of password protecting them.

4) You can invite people to the album in 1 of 2 ways
a) in the thumbnail view, click on email album invite on the right hand side toolbar. This will send an email to a person to link to this page
b) From My Account found in top menu bar, select album links to thumbnail view (entire album) or select album links to image view (single picture). You can then cut and paste the http link to your page to either put in your own web page or to email to friends and family.

Hope that answers your question

Ok, I've decided to stay with Imagestation but I got a question, how can I make my album public so anyone can see it even if they're not register??

Unfortunately that's a nasty feature that ImageStation added a while ago (wasn't there when I first signed up). They require registration to view albums.

What I do is that I've set up another ImageStation account, with an easy-to-remember username and password. This second account has no photos. When I email people links to the photos, I put in a blurb that if they don't have an ImageStation account, to log on with UserName=xyz, Password=abc. So everyone's logging on to to this "dummy account" so people can see your album without registering themselves.

It's a nuisance but most folks seem to be able to work with it. ImageStation can use cookies for logins so they may only need to login once. I can see not using ImageStation because of it, though.
