you know that ownerlink from acura where it gives you maintenance schedules, recall's, etc..... based on VIN, well don't put your faith on the recall section, it will NOT tell you if your car has a recall. I found out about my car's recall from this forum, then called customer service and told me wrong info(name and address) of my car's owner, that's probably why I didn't get the recall notice by mail. I'm glad I'm a member of this org or else...... until now, the recall section doesn't have the update yet.

I noticed the same thing, my recall did not show up and neither did the maintenance that was performed at the dealership. I had to manually enter the maintenance information.

The site is a great concept, but the lack of accuracy demonstrates a clear lack of follow through and committment on Acura's part to provide superior customer service.

They only post safety recalls there. The emission recall wasn't for safety. Regarding Service Records, its for you to input there, not the servicing party.

Zafer,
Thanks for the clarification, I didn't realize that. Guess I'll put it on the wish list for Acura. If they would cover all recalls and update service done by Acura dealerships, it would certainly WOW the customer.

Exactly. It's not tied to the same system dealerships use. It is a handy 'guide' for your own review. But I would keep hardcopy receipts besides. Dealerships can pull total service records too from their system. This can be handy if you are buying a used vehicle.
Of course it will not tell you about any service not performed by an authorized dealership, but will tell you any service performed by ANY authorized dealership. I don't know if it includes maintenance performed at Honda dealerships.

Has there ever been a safety recall on the MDX and if so has anyone ever seen it on the site?

The only recall that I know of that affected mine was the timing belt tensioner. I guess that wasn't a safety recall as it's not on the site.

Where can I find all the recalled for 03 MDX?
Thanks.

I don't think it's true that only safety recalls get posted there, it's actually NOTHING at all. Mine have the "Safety Recall: V6 Engine Water Pump Recall"(TSB:03-022) and it doesn't show.

Stop by any Acura dealer or call Acura client services and tell them.
