This is a lite weight problem, but, kind of interesting.
The back cover on the front passenger seat is coming off. There is an "L" shaped plastic bracket molded into the back cover, under the fake leather cover. The cover is designed to slip under a metal bar in the top of the seat, while the bottom of this cover just snaps into a couple of holes at the bottom. My seat broke at the top bracket. There was no problem, so far, at the dealers. They have to order a replacement since the bracket broke off of the main section. The parts are all made of plastic.
The interesting thing was the service guys comment when he saw the problem. He said that it was "unusual because they usually brake at the bottom." I guess I should have asked him to order another one since it sounds like a somewhat common problem.
What would we do for entertainment if we didn't have this "well engineered" SUV to pass some time in the dealers? |
