Chrome Wheels on Emerald - Click HERE for Original Thread

Just got my DEP w/ touring pkg yesterday. Want to drive it for awhile before I post my objective opionions. Wanted to post a quick picture since I haven't seen one yet in DEP with Chrome wheels. I think they accent the chrome handles very well (or maybe the other way around). Sorry for the picture quality. The green looks more like black in the lighting conditions I had.

I am rather disappointed with the Bose audio system though. Although I didn't compare it to the base system, I can't imagine the base system sounding much different. For a car in this price range, the 'upgraded' sound system should sound much better. I may have reconsidered the Touring pakage if I knew the Bose would be so 'average' sounding.

I'm still happy with the car, it's just the first impression I had since audio is so important to me.

Congrats !

Lots o' luck !

Happy MDX-ing !

Great looking wheels!

I felt the same way about the Bose. :( I find audio very important also. I listened to the system in a base model before getting my touring. The base model is very similar, but seems to have less power, i.e. punch. Overall though, the Bose isn't much better and most who aren't fussy about audio probably wouldn't notice the difference.

I like the head unit, but would like to do something to improve the audio that doesn't cost an arm & a leg.

Regards.

just posting because I want to find out how much those wheels were -- I really like them.

Those look identical to the standard wheels that came with my SS/Touring/Navi... What wheels are those?

I read that someone in Southern CA have their own rim "chromed" by the chrome shop. If they do not have a set ready to exchange with yours, you will have to leave the car there for a few days for the chrome process. The cost is about ~$600 or $700, I remember.

Use Search and you will find more detailed information.

Is there a life expectancy of the chrome? I'm assuming you had your rims dipped in chrome. Is there a chance that after 30k miles the chrome might flake off?

get them and how much did they cost?

Regards:)
