While driving my X this morning a question came up my mind.

The rear (back and side) windows - all have a very dark tint. However the front seat's side windows have almost no tint at all.

Is that the way it should be ? Or has someone changed my glass ?

That's the way they all come from the factory. Some folks have tinted the front passenger and drivers windows. Do a search and you should find some pics too.

Tints of front side windows are normally dictated by state law. This is why they left at a light tint that meets all 50 states. Go to a local tinter if you want darker. Many of us did. Most tinters will go darker if you desire. It's your money and your responsibility, legally. But they should tell you what is NOT legal (but available).

If you do tint, verify the kind of tint. If it is metallic base it may interfere with the Nav. At first I didn't believe it, but it's true. It is even said in the Instruction manual of the Nav. My nephew has the TSX and he got his tint done. The dealer even mentioned that the tint he wants may interfere with the Navigation and offered the non-metallic base tint which was $100 more. He didn't believe him. Ever since his nav has gone on the fritz. It puts his car off road or even in a completely different neighborhood. Right now he is debating to get it redone. It doesn't happen often, but it does happen.
