Dont know if this had been addressed in a prior post-
Have any of the 2004 owners notice that when it rains that your exhaust tips collect water and, it drips into the muffler? I was thinking of drilling a small hole at the bottom of teach exhaust tip so that water would drain before it entered the muffler. Any thoughts on this?

Yeah, I noticed this, too. Drilling a hole occurred to me as well.
But is it really an issue? Wouldn't the heat from the exhaust just evaporate the water out of the muffler anyway? |

Thanks for the response
Yes that is true but only if you travel a good distance and the mdx reaches operating temp for a good amount of time.......i just think that ANY water in the muffler, can't be good for it...ie condensation but now adding rain water i think will shorten the life of the muffler substantially..... |

| The result of burning one gallon of gas equals to one gallon of water out the exhaust pipe. Somewhere back there, the catalytic converters and the combustion turns gas into water. There is water going through your muffler either way. Dont worry too much about a little bit of rain water. |
