Last month I traded my '01 X for a new '04 X. I obviously love the X or I'm just resistent to change (I love the X).
Anyway, I definitely appreciate all of the improvements that have been made, except for one item that seems different and not as good.
When engaging the brake pedal, I have to press down harder and longer than in my previous X to engage the brakes. If I slightly pump the pedal it engages at about the same spot as the '01. Otherwise the brakes stop just fine, no noise, etc.
Has anyone else experienced this, and is this an easy adjustment to reduce the pedal play?

My 2001 had the same problem early on. They replaced the master cylinder and it has been fine ever since.

| We too traded our '01 for an '04 - we have NOT noticed a difference with the brakes. May want to have it looked at. |

| I just got my 2004 mdx and have the same problem. I thought it was a 'vehicle characteristic' but now I might go in and get my master cylinder checked out..... |
