Giants offer either:
the #4 pick and their 3rd round pick for the top slot.
or
#4 pick and Kerry Collins which gives the Chargers a legit starter. |

It will cost the Giants at least their 1st round(#4) and 2nd round (#34) plus additional picks or players to move up to #1. ATL gave up 1st, 2nd plus Tim Dwight and Tae Cody to move up to get Vick. IMHO, I agree with you LL, it's too rich considering the needs the Giants have. Giants need Gallery more than Manning plus with the #34 pick they can fill another need with a quality player.
P.S.-I'll play Carl Peterson at the #30 spot. If you need someone to make picks to keep it moving along I'll gladly volunteer my services. |

| There is no way the Rat(Shanahan) traded up to 17 to take a LB even though it's a need. I think if Detroit hasn't traded down and taken S. Jackson RB OSU then i think that would be the Donkey's pick. Williams fills a need if they don't resign Ian Gold(LB Maize and Blue). |

But apparently you didn't find the alternative to keeping Rivers very appealing either? All I can say is Eli had better be as good as the Giant's brass feel he can be to give up all that. I'm just waiting to see what San Diego will get for the number one quarterback in next years draft. The price seems to be even steeper than when they traded the right to draft Michael Vick. |

| The Rat had it all come together again. He DID take an LB in the 1st and a very fine one in D.J. Williams. Pat yourself on the back IlliniDoc, good call. What really soaks me about the whole draft is that The Rat scored Tatum Bell RB OK ST and the Chiefs passed on R. Woods WR OK ST. both I think will do very well in the pros. |
