Replaced OEM GYs at 33K (and good amount of thread left) with Yokohama Geolandar H/T-S G052. What an amazing difference. Cornering. Handling. Wet driving. Quiter ride. Better looking. I hope in a snow performance will be just as amazing. So far - absolute enjoyment!

Congrats....thats a big step up from the Goodyears.

Yoko makes pretty good tires all around, good choice with those. I'd be interested in hearing back from you in 20k miles to hear how they are wearing.

I think the Michelin's on the 04 Touring are pretty good as well. I would rate that up there with the Geolander. But the Geolander wins points for looks...plus I'm sure it is better in the rain and snow due to tread design.

at $109 vs $146 Michellin's, the decision was easy. Plus, if I remember correctly, these tires have 200lbs more payload than OEM tires. they were back ordered on tirerack for 2 months (now I know why). I am not sure about the thread life, but this was never my primary concern - if in return I get more safety, better handling, higher payload and greater looks

Oh yeah...I totally agree. If I were buying new tires I wouldn't go with the Michelin because of price.....was just pointing out that they are a big improvement over the GY's.

I may buy a new set of Yoko's for my A4 soon. I like their tires....and prices for the most part.

Do they sell Yokohama Geolandar tire at the retail store?

I'm about to replace my tires too now rolling at 39,000 miles.

My question is, can you put a slightly wider tires? Like 255x60x17 on it?
The overall diameter is OK but is it too wide?

Cardingtr,

I have 255/60/17 on my MDX and have had no problems. They add quite a bit to the look too. :4:
