| I have a 2004 MDX which is only two months old. I have had it into the dealer three times to repair a defective rubber molding just below the window. Where this molding meets the black door post, the rubber is caving in--looks very bad. I am told by the dealer it is a common problem with the MDX. Every MDX I see in South Florida has this problem. I am told it's a design flaw. This problem is not on the Honda Pilot (different design). I called the Acura owner line--took them over a week to return call and did not seem to care. Has anyone else noticed this problem and found a fix? Seems to me that if this is a known probem Acura has a duty to redesign and recall for a fix. I paid a lot of money for this car and feel this is totally unacceptable. |

doneill,
I had that same problem with my 03 on both the driver and front passenger side about 4 months ago. I took it to the dealer and they replaced the molding. It hasn't caved in since . . . by the way, welcome to the board and good luck with the molding. |

| Had the problem with my '01 on the driver's side. Replaced under warranty. Could not tell you how it's held up, since I sold it 3 months later! |
