... should I trade my 2001 tour/nav for a 2004 tour nav.
My 2001 is in mint condition, has 27,000 miles and no dings. It is starlight silver and ebony interior.
The 2004 is the exact same car.
Dealer wants my car plus $12K, + tax, + fees = approximately 13K.
What do you all think?
Plus, can I reuse my running boards or do I need to make a call to Tim "aka "the man."

Not a bad deal but read through my thread - I think you can do a little better (my deal was $11,545 and my '01 had 47K on it). Good luck.
I kept the cargo stuff (net, cover); the wheel locks; and the FSS from my old '01 - so unless they up your trade I'd keep the Boards. |

Uh no. The '04's have the dual tailpipes. :)
But if you're happy with the '01 and don't expect many mechanical problems, I'd keep it until there was a more significant change (05/06?). |

Last month, while waiting for my 2002 X (Tour/Nav) to have its oil & filter changed, I discussed trading my 2002 for a 2004 (tour/nav) and was offered the same deal as you got for your 2001. My 02 had 24,000 miles at the time. I plan to keep my X til it dies, but either you were offered a great deal or I was offered a poor one! |

Guys, thanks for the feedback. I don't know how much more I'm going to get out of the dealer. But I love the reponses.
Does anyone know definitively whether the running boards will fit? (Tim, are you out there?) |

Just traded my 03 Touring in for the 04 Touring with Navi & Res. The dealer removed and installed my sidesteps from my 03 to the 04. No problems that I can see!
The 04 is well worth it!!!! You get all new goodies to play with!!! No regrets here!!! I just wished I did it earlier!!! |
