my dealer sets tire pressure at 40 psi on the michelin tires...says thats the recommended pressure from acura. door jamb says 32...who to believe?

maybe somewhere in the middle? 40 seems kinda high.

the wiz,

40 psi is way too high. That is the tire pressure set at the factory and used when transporting the MDX to the dealership. 32 psi is okay...I usually run my MDX at 35 psi. This seems to be ideal. YMMV. Good luck.:29:

Where do some of the dealership people come from? Graduates of the School of Misinformation? Surprised they don't go into politics.

Wiz,

The next time you see the dealer ask him to start fillin' his busted tires with 100 psi.

But should the TPMS thing say anything about it ?
the wiz
i think the TPMS only detects underinflation. lowered air pressure to 35 psi today. rides much nicer now...go figure
