| I purchased a new 2004 MDX, touring, with dvd player. Closest dealer was 120 miles away. As I drove home with two small kids, I went to use the dvd. but could only get static on the wireless headphones. Got home and parked car in the garage. Didn't drive for 2 days, and then car wouldn't start. Battery was dead. Had to jump it, then drove it around. Assumed that I had done something, and called the dealer and he said that I had to have left a door open, which I did not. That night, parked the car again, making sure nothing was on, and again next day it didn't start. Had to be jumped again. This time, I did not run the dvd. Next day, it started fine. Drove it back the 120 miles to the dealer... Dealer says doesn't know what is wrong with the starting, but the static on the headphones was due to a bad dvd player. They wanted to replace the dvd. I told them that I did not want them getting into a dash and I wanted a new car. Argued for days. Got on with the general manager, who tells me that they didn't replace anything in the dash, but replaced the screen in the ceiling. Now they say the car is fine, that replacing the screen took care of the static in the headphones, and that I should come get it. I feel I am getting the shaft, and I want a new car. This is ridiculous, I paid 40,000 for a "luxury" suv, and I can't even start it the day after I pick it up. Dealer won't budge. Anyone else have a dvd static problem. or battery drain problem??? |
