All,
After a pretty long wait, I finally got the rim I had ordered. This may be a dumb question, but I noticed that the Acura logo on the centre of the rim is not there (on the rim that I just got)....
So my question is, that do I need to seperately order the logo, or should I reuse the logo from the tire if and when I replace it with the FSS. I imagine that the FSS rim will need that hole in the centre so it can be stowed away (or racheted) on the X.
Sorry for the dumb question again....
Thanks,
Kamal |

| It doesn't come with the logo since you need the space to hoist the spare. |

Thanks for the quick response hammermdx !
So I guess, i'll just reuse the logo from the existing wheel if and when I have to use my FSS !
thanks again ! |

Now I am wondering, too. My wheel rim for a FSS was shipped to the dealership, as I await delivery of the MDX. The wheel I ordered was new (10 miles), as it was from a new MDX where the buyer decided to put on different wheels. Anyway, in this case, shouldn't it have the logo on it (even if I have to remove it)? I'll find out soon enough, but am curious about what to expect. |

I got my FSS from a junk yard and it came with the center cap,
which is sitting in my center console, and it is not needed when mounted under the vehicle. |

While the obvious answer would be yes, that is something you've got to ask the dealer. |

| Bought mine from someone on the board. He shipped it with the center cap, so I just tossed in in the rear cargo well as a spare in case one walks off. |

Thanks everyone...I realized that the Acura logo can easily come off the existing tire and onto the FSS...so all is fine !
Another question, will the FSS fit in the same place as the donut currently is (under the X) ? I was looking at the size, and the FSS seems much bigger than the donut, and it seems that the spare tire space under the X wont be able to accomodate the FSS ?
I am probably wrong here, but would like to hear from those of your who have the FSS ? Does it fit snugly with the body ? Did u have to make any modifications to get the FSS to fit ?
I did not get the chance to replace my donut with the FSS yesterday...hence the questions :(
Thanks all ! |

ALL these questions and more have been answered ad nauseum in existing threads - SEARCH is a great tool that works well. However for those who choose not to Search I'll repost these pictures again here (next two posts).

... and the photos are for everyone's benefit. My reply may have been somewhat terse BUT virtually all FSS questions about fit and useage have been answered many times over - including in the new FAQ section.
