Folks,
I did an extensive search here (spent over 2 hrs now reading the various posts), but did not find a conclusive answer to this one.

Does the AcuraCare extended warranty cover the Navigation system and the RES ? The contract that I have (from CurryAcura) only talks about "COMPUTERSELECTRONICS" as a general group. The exact text is as follows:

"II. COVERAGE
AMERICAN HONDA wil arrange for the repair or replacement of covered parts...............

Examples of Systems covered:
* Engine.......
*.......
* COMPUTERSELECTRONICS: including Switches, Sensors, SRS Control Unit"

Comments anyone ?

I would assume that it would, considered that the navi basically is electronics and a computer. But best to ask Honda corporate to be safe and to have documentation.

Hmmm. Reading the two contracts, it seems Curry covers nav systems and has up to 6 day car rental vs. NO nav system coverage and only 4 days max rental reimbursement for AMV. Seems strange for what's supposed to be the same thing.

Curry will email you a promo code for $90 off their web listed price which brings it down to the about same price as AMV's.

I downloaded the pdf from Curry's site, and did not see a specific reference to the Navi unit or the RES, hence my question. The text that I put in my previous post, was actually the text from the pdf...

I cant get to the other link (page not found ??) and so cant see their exact contract ! Do they specifically mention the Navi and RES somewhere on their contract ?
