I had just started driving the car... I opened the sunroof... and the navi was just showing the warning screen. I hit "OK" and it didn't do anything. I tried several times and there was no response. So I was thinking that it was like that time that I had to re-start the car to get the voice recognition to work... but instead I closed the sunroof and I could hit the "OK" just fine. Has this happened to anyone else?

I think the navi toucscreen works by the interruption of (infrared?) beams that crisscross the screen. If there's strong sunlight shining on the screen, the touchscreen doesn't work as well. I've been able to shield the screen with my other hand at times in order to get it work. Hope this helps.

Thats a good deduction! :4: Yup our touch screens are really not touch screens.

Yep...I agree to this :D

The other day I was wondering why I had to nail my finger into the screen at someplaces (mostly left side) where in the other places even before touching the screen the data was accepted (mostly toward the right side).

so, would this be the source of the valentine-1 false alarms on laser that some owners were experiencing?
