My friends parents had a brand new 1976 Towncare that simply hauled A$$ ! You could burn rubber with little tapping of the gas pedal. I think it had a 490 HP V-8. What's that one have ?

My dad's friend had a mid 70's Continental liek that with a white leather interior and full tint all around. He used to save his change each year and treat his car to a full detail and ding removal each spring with what he saved. Driving in that was the closest to floating on a cloud I think I'll ever come.

Good luck with it.

A rather anemic 400......it moves out of it's own way, but it's not exactly a screamer.

The funny part about it is that it's not too terrible.......I'd say maybe 12-15. I'll have to pay more attention ;)

The "float" that car provides probably was a godsend when you passed over that horrible section of I90 in front of us on your way home. My folks also had a towncar of that era. Neat.

Good luck
Niles:)
