| New Jersey Manufacturers my friend:4: the cheapest in NJ without a doubt. BUT they are very picky and u or a family member usually has to work for a big corporation or have a state job, etc.,etc. i'm 29 with no points in about 6 years and i pay $1009 a year with only a $250 deductable on my '04 MDX. give it a try. contact them, maybe you could get it. there is no better/cheaper company in NJ. plus at the end of the year as long as u have no points or anything they refund u a percentage of your premium. last year i got $340 back. |

In NJ you can only get Liberty Mutual if you are a member of AAA. These guys stopped taking new customers a couple years ago....Also being 23, you should definitely expect much higher insurance rates regardless of your driving record....
I have a 03 MDX and a 98 Mazda Protege and I pay about $2900 (which I think is on the high side)....
I myself am going to be trying NJ Manufacturers Insurance as well...only thing is that I heard that if you have had a ticket in the past 5 yrs or so they will decline you. |

I called NJ Manu two years ago to shop for better rates and they told me they couldn't beat Liberty Mutual's rate. |

| crmsnidal that's weird. i don't think liberty mutual could beat the price of $2500 for 3 vehicles which i pay. maybe liberty mutual is 1 of the lower one's but nobody beats NJM. you have to also consider what amount u want to be covered for, threashhold/no threashhold and the deductable amount. does liberty mutual give back a percentage of your premium at end of year like NJM? |

No, but I think you already knew that. |

| I pay $994 a year in NJ and I have Allstate. I have checked to see if I can do any better but found that it doesn't vary that much from one company to the other. I renew in June so I think I'll try some of the recommendations that have been posted. Don't know if all companies work this way but I am "discount level 2" and my wife is "discount level 1". I am pretty sure that if you're under 25 you get charged a premium regardless of your record. I keep seeing McGreevey on TV telling us how much lower the insurance is now. Maybe I'll call him to find out who the cheap guys are. |
