My 2003 Mdx is due for a 15k service.
I Simply want to get some idea on how much will it cost me for this service including the necessary VTM fluid change.
The Acura dealer in Pasadena, California offered me $199.25.
Are they reasonable rate or still quite expensive?
Appreciate your comments on past experience.

That sounds too expensive. No need to waste money by overpaying the dealer. This is a simple service to DIY. Cost me approximately $26.52 for parts (oil-$.99x5qts, filter-$3.00, VTM fluid-$16.55/gal, + tax) and took about an hour of my time to complete. |

if one doesn't want to carry out the DIY, he/she can always uses honda dealer's service dept... oil change 15 bucks, VTM service 60 bucks... i think that's all...
oh, i would rather have walmart rotate and balance every 6000 miles for a one time fee of $30.... for the life of the tire...
just my 2 cents... |

$30.00 for each tire?
Costco does charge me rotate & balance for $4.00/each. I would rotate/balance for every 7500 miles. For the file of 45,000-50,000 miles I need to change 6 times then the cost would be $24.00 each.
If we change / balance for every 6000 miles then Wal-mart would sure beat Costco. |

it's $7.50 per tire for the life of the tire... so $30 for all four tires...
they said i can have them rotated and balanced every 6000 miles... |
