Check on other threads. I guess there are enough complains on engine humming & droning, brake thunking, second row rattling, and gas sloshing.
If you like the baby with other good features then bear with those great noise in case you're lucky to get all of them. If you don't then put it up for adoption like I did awhile ago. (considering the gas price now, you won't have much chance for custody transfer).

Ohh also this: I believe Acura brand should be downgraded to Honda brand, and Honda brand should be upgraded to Acura.
Why?: Because Honda Pilot seems to have less problems than Acura MDX. Funny, isn't it?.
Honda cars seem to have better quality than Acura cars, it's hard to believe but it is damn true. |

Now I now why you pick TheRunDown screen name.
Your comparison is analogous to downgrading yourself to "Mr. Mom" and upgrading your wife to "The Boss".
Honda is owned by more people than Acura. Most Acura owners are so content with their cars that they rarely complains. Only those whiners use forum or online surveys to release their steam. When you read the surveys or reviews be careful about the size of the survey pool. Sometimes, it does not correctly reflect the whole truth.
Acura are pretty much for upscale and performance.
Honda is a class below in order to reach more to population.
One friend of mine wish they can wait one more year so that they can buy 2004 Acura MDX like mine instead of driving the 2003 Pilot now.
If you own a Honda, be happy and work harder to get yourself upgrade to become an Acura owner.
If you own an Acura, be content and don't let a Honda owner jealous. |

therundown, why are u even a member of this site. i hardly ever look at the problems section but i did tonight to find u talking shi* twice. both pointless and dumb. i own a 2004 MDX and my sister owns a 2004 RX330. there is no comparison. noise champion? what the F are u talking about. it's so damn quiet that u don't even know it's running, except when u punch it. the MDX is not loud and is not a joke as u posted in your other thread. i, along w/ most on this site am impressed w/ the MDX, especially for the $? why don't u just go buy a range or a cayenne and beat it! don't mind me, people like u bug me and i've had a crappy day.
