Anyone know of any running boards that would fit the X which also have a chrome accent? Or where you can purchase chrome strips to attach to the boring running boards?
Thanks. |

| Why not go with Chrome Steps? |

i want the protection offered by the running boards vs. the steps for the lower body panel and I don't want to have to worry about lack of footprint area for young and old people to slip on.
Lights are always nice but if they are the only enhancement to the running boards then the boards will still look dull during the day.
I have a Black/Black X w/chrome wheels and believe the X will stand out just a little bit more with a chrome strip below the body and between the chrome wheels.
My old Toyota truck had running boards with a chrome strip and she looked gorgeous (of course, there were lots of other chrome add-ons). |

| I like the mud flaps seem to offer more protection. It looks like it might deflect the water better during rain or a puddle to keep it from hitting the side steps and creating that annoing sound. |

I have the mud flaps but thought i read somewhere on the site that the flaps and the side steps still did little to protect the lower body panel. If this is untrue, then i would probably get the chrome steps.
It would be nice to hear the opinion from those who have the side steps and mud flap combo on the topic of lower panel coverage... |
