I take it is a wider wheel than the 6 1/2" stock. If it is 7" or wider you can install a lower profile tire, maintianing the same diameter, on the next go around.

Those look nice!

Wow, those are nice, they look better than most of the 20 and 22" rims I have seen in this forum.

OK. . .I wish they were bigger.

So tell me, what is the fascination with over size wheels? I think the FX with the over size wheels looks like clowns with those big shoes on, looks out of place.

I always thought 17" was a nice size myself. I think a meatier tire would certainly look better, with some sacrifice in 'snowability'.
And a lower profile but wider tire is possible with a 'wider' rim, as I now become redundant.

MSY,

Looks kind of like my rims but with a chrome finish. The bigger rims give a better ride. I stuck with the 17" too because I wanted the lightest rims I could find to reduce unsprung weight.

The rims weight almost 5lbs less then stock a piece and you can defineatly feel the difference in acceleration and braking.

Defineatly. The weight in the wheels makes a big difference because it is a moving part. If you run around with 10 lbs on your back it won't make a big difference but put a 5lb weight on each shoe and you feel it.

Unsprung weight affects handling too. A lighter wheel responding quicker to input changes.

Unsprung weight makes a HUGE difference in acceleration and braking, mostly, which in the end affects overall handing of the car. 20lbs of unsprung weight increase due to bigger wheels is will likely have greater effect than loading your back seat with 3 adults. At least that's been my experience with my new 19" wheel upgrade. But I do think that cornering has gotten better due to thiner and stiffer sidewall of tires.
