I'm going back to Dishnetwork from cable. I don't know why I switched in the first place. The picture quality on cable is horrible.
If I only get one premium channel which should I get: HBO, Showtime, Cinemax or Starz? |

I get the T-180 option on Dish which gives me tons of movies with plenty of the enrichment extras, sports, DIY, sci fi, etc etc. I have had both in the past, the movies are nothing you can't get at Blockbuster, Netflix, etc.
It's the special series like Sopranos and Six Feet Under that is the real draw... but once you see one or two episodes you wait another month for the next chapter. But if they are a draw for you, you can get fewer channels and save the 10 or bucks for the premos.
Nice thing about Dish, is you can add so easily without calling. Nice for them too, of course! I find T-180, the PVR and renting Netflix movies gives me more entertainment than I likely need or deserve. |

Have exactly the same set-up (T-180 option on Dish,) no premium channels, and getting PPV if I want to. The DVR feature is excellent, allows you to watch what you record at another time. |

I was thinking of getting the Top-120 package, although I would really miss the golf channel. I'll have to look into the Top-180 a little closer.
HBO is the only premium channel I've had, so I don't really know what the programming is like on the other premium channels. I'm wondering, movie-wise, if the other channels are better or not. |
