I installed blitzsafe adapter today.

HON/AUX DMX V.1 Aux Audio Interface

I connected it to my Pyle DVD player. Installation is very straight forward. I connected it to the radio and connected the RCAs. When I pressed CD 2x I got sound but coming out only on one side. I checked all the connections which is fine. When I switch the Blitzsafe RCA with the DVD player the sound would come out on one side only. The white connector is not working? Or is it soppused to work this way?

CD player works fine.

You should be getting stereo sound. I am not clear from your statement if you have tried a different pair of RCA cables. If you have, then most likely you may have a defective blitzsafe adapter. If you have not tried a different set, I would go that route first. Just to be on the safe side, you could test the audio output of your dvd player by using the RCA cables and connecting them to the auxiliary/cd input on a portable/bookshelf radio. Hope this helps!!

I think its the blitzsafe. With a simple adapter like this, it's easy to isolate the problem. I reversed the RCA output of Blitzsafe too and sound came out on the other side. No stereo.

I guess I'm going on a trip next week without DVD player.
I will try to talk to http://www.logjamelectronics.com/ tomorrow and see how their customer service is.

I have found Logjam customer service to be excellent. Talk to Jim Surface. He took care of mine no problem. Unfortunately, the BS have their problems time to time. But it seems once you have one that works, they are fine. I am seriously thinking of writing them an email (Blitzsafe) their DOA record is looking worse all the time, that means they are not testing each one before shipping.

Worked like a charm. I got crystal clear stereo sound coming out of my DVD player now.
I will tape everything up tomorrow and replace the radio.
Good night.

>>>>Hello, I received the item today and installed it right away with DVD player. It is very straight forward.
But when I play it, the sound comes out only on one side. (Red RCA)
I know my radio does work properly because when I press CD again to play CD, sound comes out on all four speakers. (left and right) I checked all connections which is OK, I tried my DVD player with my POS FM modulator, sound comes out on both sides. So the problem is in this item. How can I change it? I really don't want to since we are leaving for vacation Jul 21st.
Do I have enough time?
If needs to be replaced please call me ASAP XXX-XXX-XXXX so we can process this right away.

Have a nice day to you all.

P.S. The sound, although one sided (I checked the balance knob too)is CD quality!

It turns out the big yellow wire that connects to radio, there are 8 little wires on it soldered in alignment but one joint (black) is touching other joints. Easy fix.

She said its OK to open it. I guess it wont void the warranty.

Notice my pen pointer, the two joints has a small ball of lead joining it. Of course I removed it.

Here's how it looks on the other side..

So when you got any problem with your blitzsafe, I guess it's worth opening it before sending it back.

It's great you got your problem fixed. Thanks for the pics too, It may help out future Blitzsafe owners. Now sit back and enjoy your system.

Great tech support!
Too bad customers have to finish the product before they can use it...

Glad you can finally enjoy it though! :)

I hope this is how they treat their customers now. As you mentioned they don't have a very consistent quality product. The way it is soldered, not just the one I fixed has much to be desired.

I agree. I know I was talking about Logjam customer service, but the tech at BS walked me through t'shooting also. But the problem was more complex; it would not activate my XM Commander using the CD controls.
Maybe now they can walk the customers through that fix. Ha ha....sorry to be so cynical. But I guess customers can be considered free labor :4:
