Ok now that I installed my new Roady2 I think it's awesome. Smallish that I have a hard time figuring what the hell are these tiny buttons for.

That aside, I love it. Too many channels to choose from. I need your suggestions sorting this out. We will hit the road in two days and I haven't even played with it long enough. I'll be working for the next two days that my only time with my X is going to work and back.

I want to put in memory the good channels to listen to on a long stretch of the hi-way in which all you can see is either the white stripe in the middle of the road or the big rocky mountain and vast plains. Trust me, Top 20 won't count.

Thanks.

Lots of good stuff. I lean towards jazz and the Watercolors (71)works nice for a lot of everyday driving. I hit the 5 through 8 a lot for the oldies, 74 for Bluesville, 13 for Hank Williams or Johnny Cash favorites, etc. 46, Classic Rock....I've had it now for a month and have not even scratched the surface!
I have not even played with the memory or memory recall yet. Or listened to news, comedy, etc. etc. ...

You might want to say what type of music you like to help with getting advice. I'm 26 years old and I like a wide variety of music, but I'll assume you are older and don't want to listen to Top 20, Hip Hop, or Dance. I like Mix and Lucy (can't remember the channel #s). Mix plays hits (mainly alt rock hits) from the 90s and today. Lucy also plays alt rock with more emphasis on current music. The uncensored comedy channel is great. I never listen to news.

Hope that helps some.

I still prefer the good ol' AM/FM radio even when traveling. Despite the homogenization of playlists and other faults people find with terrestrial radio, I can almost always find something different and interesting. And it's free.

71 Watercolors - but I'm a huge CJazz fan.

Otherwise, we like listening to the comedy alot (150 I think?) But watch if there's kids in the car, that one's not censored at all!

Any pics of your Roady install? I'm considering installing a Roady also, but would like to see what others may have done first.

Thanks in advance,

Love those myself! :) Robert Schimmel on 150 is the best! Catch him whenever I can.

I also listen to the 40s music on 4, 80s on8 and 90s on 9......along with Real Jazz, Fine Tuning, XM Classics, and XM65 "the Rhyme" :D . Techno, house, and electronica are excellent as well.

How's that for an eclectic mix? ;)
