Well, we've dropped off our MDX for the second time with the same clunking noise coming from the muffler along with a messed up radio (AM/FM antenna) and a horrible noise when changing gears. We had an appointment for this morning at 8:45 or so and got there around 8:55 to 9:00 am. An hour later, which should only have taken 15 mins at most, my mom is driving to work, a corporate executive level officer, in a ****in Hyundai Elantra.
I had spoken to the manager the day we set up the appointment to have a loaner car set up for us, preferably a TL w/Navi, because of my brother and mother's high interest in the vehicle and possibly purchasing it. He said no problem as we are long time friends of his, well were now, after this. So I called him up and asked him what was the deal with giving up my mom a Enterprise rental car. He says, "they ran out of vehicles and the TL was unable." I said that's obsurd, why in the first place did we set up this appointment to get a loaner car, which we agreed upon. If that, they could've given us a TSX as last time.
Secondly, we got a call about an hour ago (5:15 pm NJ time) saying they never even got to our car. I told him what was the point of giving us today's date as the scheduled appointment!?!! He had no asnwer yet guaranteed we would have the car by 2moro. What an asshole as he could gaurantee me that wihout having looked at the car. This is liek the umpteenth time they have done this to us and have just about enough. I told I want my car back ASAP and will be going for service and appointments somewhere else. He said, "That's fine with me." I was so furiarted by that comment, I told I would see him when I come to pick up the car as he answers, "He was glad and he would be waiting." Maybe it was just me but it sounded in a sarcastic and satanical manner.
Anyone else with a hateful regard for their delaership?! |

ME ME ME!
I also had a nice Hyundai last time. And I told them I'd like a TSX because my sister might buy one. As he called Enterprise, I asked about getting a car off the lot. "You don't want anything on the lot, all we have are TSXs." Huh?!
AND, Enterprise charged me $5 for UPGRADING ME to a Hyundai! WHAT!? Had to call and ***** them out for that.
Two dealerships in my area, screwed by both. Stay away from Sussman in Jenkintown and Ardmore Acura. |

Another "Dirtbag" Dealer! What dealer is it? |

I've only had my MDX to the dealer once and was promised a loaner but was told at least twice there were no guarantees as to what type/model I would be provided. It depended on what was available at my drop-off time. I got a TSX. Did the dealer promise you a TL w/NAVI and was that your reason for scheduling the service?
I agree your mom should be given a vehicle that is comparable to the one she purchased from that dealership, however her job title has nothing to do with it and frankly if that point was part of your rant against the dealer I'm not surprsed by his/her reaction to your threat to come down there in person to speak with them. What you learn as maturity sets in is that everyone you meet whether they are service mgrs, toll-takers, DMV workers or Hallmark Card store employees, they have one thing in common. They are normal people just like you and me and deserve the same courtesy and respect you would give anyone else you meet on the street. The Service Mgr provided you with a loaner. NO, they didn't get to your vehicle the same day you dropped it off but they followed up with a call and set a new expectation rather than have you travel back there disappointed. |

| Same lousy service from Acura dealer in LA area. I wrote a nasty letter to Both the service director/manager of the dealer and also to Acura client service at Torrance. You should do the same, voice your experience to someone sitting in the air-conditioned office up there or else nothing will change, this is America not communist country! |

But remember, the way you treat OTHERS, is the way they treat YOU. If your in my face, being RUDE, expect the SAME treatment.
Now if your polite and treated rudely, that's a whole different issue. Doesn't sound like that was the case.
As said, your mothers title or position has NOTHING to do with it. If someone walks in with a suit vs. someone in casual clothes, they should be treated the same. DON't judge a book by it cover ! We are all humans and deserve to be treated equally ! |

No the point of this was not to expose my mother's level on the business aldder. I met her up for lunch and she was talking our some business clients in a Hyundai. the CEO went to her and said take my car please, not yours. She was so embarassed!
Brunswick Acura or Ryans Open Road Acura in East Brunswick |

| I like my dealer-Thomas Acura. They really care about their customers. Last week I brought my car for oil change service. It was really busy that day. I saw one of the service manager washing the car for another customer. BTW they have free Starbuck coffee, fresh fruits and juice there too. |
|

They don't have of that at this dealership except for hard bagels and disgusting coffee.
04 MB you're referrin to is mine to drive buddy. Of course she should be able to take out clients she deems important in a nice ride like an MDX, all my dad's employees love that car.
And tha **** are you gettin hostile about FABVSIX? I got beef with the dealership not you... |

I concur, Thomas Acura is an exception to the other lousy Acura dealer service out there so far. |

Another good dealer is Norm Reeves Acura in Temecula (Southern California). Although, they didn't get some of the services right but they are more than willing to make you happy and correct any errors on their part.
For initial service, I needed a loaner but asked if I can get a comprobable car from Enterprise. They rented a Chrysler Pacifica for me (not a bad car, btw).
Second time around, they made sure fairly new 04 TSX was available as loaner (fun car to drive).
They call me with status updates without having me calling them.
They've also committed to fill up my MDX gas tank as I had to do a bit of drive to drop the car off.
So there are some good dealers out there as much as bad ones. |

| I used to go to Norm Reeves Honda in Anaheim when I had my Accord. I could get oil change and free car wash and dry for $21. I have seen people brought their Fords for oil change there. BTW can I can bring my MDX to Honda dealer for service? Does Pilot use the same oil filter as the MDX? I can save $15. |

Same filter, and saving money at a Honda dealer is quite common. :4: |

Correction: it was Hardin Honda in Anaheim. I just called them and they told me they don't work on Acura. Anyone know a Honda dealer will work on Acura cars in southern California? |
