Hi all:
I have a 2001 MDX w/t 65K and the transmission overheated during a trip to the beach (A/T Temp lite came on). We havd to stop at a gas station and left the engine on idle for 10 min to cool it down. The A/T temp lite went off as soon as we decided to move on. I smelt a lot of burnt fluid. We did manage to drive back home (wo A/C) and took the cat to the dealer the next day.
Acura dealer recently serviced the trans. safety recall on my car about a month ago. So I claimed that something was wrong because of that. They took a look and found nothing wrong and asked me for the trans flushing service to clean out the burnt oil. Then they later found the leak from a "stripped Press. pipe Bolt ". As a result, they replaced the BODY PASSAGE ON TOP of THE TRANS (P/N 25801-PGH-000).
Does anyone know what is that part and is it related to the oil jet safety recall work ?
Thanx |
